An Intuitive and Vernacular Approach to Design
We develop an intuitive and vernacular approach to design where the human scale of the user—as well as their physical, cultural, and social environment—forms the basis of our creative reflections.
In this light, we define our design as a search for solutions tailored to the Nordic realities of life in Quebec. We recognize realities that evolve at the organic rhythm of the seasons, translating into marked changes in lifestyles. These evolutions are reflected in the way we inhabit spaces (architecture), the way we dress (fashion), and in our approach to the daily.
It is these reflections that drive us to reinterpret the objects and furniture that surround us. We strive to define them in an evolutionary manner, ensuring they adapt seamlessly to our needs and changing realities.
Inspired by Nordic nature and its material resources, as well as by design, fashion, and indigenous architecture, we utilize a blend of artisanal know-how and new manufacturing technologies. Our goal is to develop a fresh design style that bears the imprint of our climate, our territory, and the cultures that evolve within it. Through this work, we aim to participate in defining the identity of a contemporary Quebec design.
